    Composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Majel Connery creates gorgeous immersive musical experiences that bring classical forms and instruments into dialogue with electronic sounds and textures. Her “thoroughly Schubertian” (Wall Street Journal) compositions feature a voice that the New York Times calls “superb.” Joined by cellist Patricia Santos, Majel will be sharing works from her latest project, “The Rivers Are Our Brothers,” a song cycle on ecological responsibility told from the point of view of the land.

    ACF presents the Songweaver Sessions, co-presented with RiverCulture, and sponsored by Mass Cultural Council and Greenfield Cooperative Bank. Join us for an incredible evening with these richly gifted artists who summon stories, spells, and transformation through song. Wylder Ayres calls what they write “folk journalism,” leading listeners through a cinematic reel of Americana-inspired sounds. Indë is a prolific multi-media artist, educator, composer, producer, and performer noted for their distinct bass-baritone vocals and progressive approach to harmony. This event is FREE, with suggested donation in support of Nolumbeka Project.

    Renowned singer-songwriter Kimaya Diggs brings her genre-bending sound to ACF. Combining R&B, pop, and indie-folk, Diggs masterfully conveys the depths of both grief and joy through song. This concert will feature a selection of Kimaya’s original work, showcasing her soulful voice and thoughtful lyrics on the Antenna Cloud Farm hilltop stage.

    Lauded for performances described as "terribly beautiful" (SF Classical Voice), "stunningly passionate" (Calgary Herald), and "exquisitely skilled" (ZealNYC), Friction Quartet is dedicated to modernizing the chamber music experience and expanding the string quartet repertoire. The ensemble achieves its mission by commissioning cutting-edge composers, curating imaginative concert programs, collaborating with diverse artists, and engaging in interactive educational outreach. This program will feature the world premiere of a new work by composer Michi Wiancko.

    The Experimental Institute is a fully immersive, tuition-free summer intensive that brings together a cohort of highly accomplished musical performing artists and activators in various stages of their careers. Curriculum is centered around collaborative exploration, artistic excellence, collective liberation, and transformative institutional pedagogy.

    The Ei is led by artist-mentors Mazz Swift, Xenia Rubinos, PaviElle French, and Michi Wiancko, along with guest artists Gabriela Lena Frank and Judd Greenstein. The Ei operational team is led by Michi Wiancko, Anju Madhok, and Steph Davis.

We are proud to participate in the Card to Culture program, a collaboration between Mass Cultural Council and the Department of Transitional Assistance, the Women, Infants & Children (WIC) Nutrition Program, and the Massachusetts Health Connector, by breaking down the financial barriers to cultural programming. Partner Event: 11th Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival

In our fourth year of partnership with Nolumbeka Project, ACF is once again honored to host musical artist Hawk Henries, a member of the Chaubunagungamaug band of Nipmuc, a people indigenous to what is now southern New England. In addition to being an internationally-acclaimed performer and sought-after public speaker and educator, Hawk Henries has been composing original flute music and making flutes using only hand tools and fire for over 25 years. Hawk will be performing as part of the 11th Annual Pocumtuck Homelands Festival, a celebration of Native American art, music, and cultures.

Further presentations and performances by Mohawk elder Tom Porter; Mi’kmaq – Celtic Music with Morgan Toney and Band; Drums with the Wampanoag Nation Singers and Dancers and Iron River Singers ; Hula with Pua Aliʻi ʻIlima o Nūioka; Nulhegan Abenaki storytellers, musicians and authors Joseph and Jesse Bruchac; Justin Beatty, emcee. Over 40 Indigenous artists and authors, children’s activities, social dancing and MORE. Indigenous History and Ceremonial Stone Landscapes presentations with David Brule, Evan Pritchard and Mike Luoma at the History Tent. Savor Indian tacos and other dishes made by Happy Eating Grounds and delicious fare from Stone Soup Cafe. Dessert Crooked Stick Pops. Coffee from Stout Pigeon Roasters.
